History: Venus and her sibling had been close to their parents, they had done everything together and were all very loyal to each other. One day when Venus, Pan and Milda were only three months old something happened that would change the lives forever. Their parents were killed by a Jackal while trying to protect them; before they died they managed to lure it far enough away from the den that it wouldn't be a problem. When their parents didn't come back the small kits were crushed, but knew they needed to pull themselves together so they could survive. They knew that if they died the parents sacrifice would have been in vain. Venus decided to take over the feeding arrangements because she was a little older then the other two. At first she had trouble catching the small mice, fish and birds that their meals usually consisted of and they had to resort to eating berries and small edible plant material that she could find. As time passed though she slowly became more successful in her hunting expeditions. Around this time she realized that on their own they were like sitting ducks for all the predators that would want to kill them. They would eventually have to join a group in order to stay alive or be killed by predators. She didn't want to tell this to Pan and Milda because she realized that this was the only home that any of them had ever know. She secretly began searching for their perfect new group but it was long and hard search. She had found groups but all of them looked a little crowded to her. Finally she found one that didn't look as crowded as then other, even its members looked friendly enough to approach. She wandered near the group to take a closer look and as she did one of their group looked up and spotted her. He wandered near and looked at her curiously before scampering back to the safety of the group. Satisfied that she had found the perfect new group for their small family to integrate into she ran back to the den the tell her brother and sister the good news. At first the two of them did not take it well but soon she had convinced them it would be for the best if they relocated into the fox tribe she had found. They began the perilous trek from their own den towards the new group not knowing if the group would accept them or not. Venus was judging by the earlier reaction that they would be accepted with open paws and she was right. When they got there their was a welcoming committee waiting for them when they got there. Venus introduced herself and her brother and sister to the medium sized clan and then they learned the names of their new clan members. The leaders name ironically was Zeus, the name of the leader of the Greek gods. He welcomed them was open loving arms and they began a new, better point in their lives. Thought their parents death hung over them like a grey unmoving cloud, they knew that from this point forward they had to look towards the future and not at the past. As time drew on they bgan to fret less about the past and began to learn the skills they would need to help out in their clan. Milda to Venus' glee became a rather adept healer and could be found if not in the healers cave then in the dessert looking for herbs that she could help the other Fennec foxes with. Pan like his sister became a hunter and practiced daily to get better at it. Venus continued to hunt but now she also taught the younger ones when they were ready to begin hunting. She taught them how to stalk their prey and stay away from stuff like branches that would break under their feet and alert their pray to danger. She loved teaching the young ones how to stalk silently towards a mouse or bird with out alerting it to their presence. It gave her a sense of pride and accomplishment but every once and awhile a kit came along that for some reason could not remember her lessons.... This my Dear is where Our story Begins . . . "Venus!" yelled a young kit, leaping at the adult female, intent on sneaking up on her. He did not realize his mistake; on a real hunt, that would lose him prey and a meal. Venus turned around and dodged his tackle, causing him to fall face first into the ground. "Next time don't yell out my name and maybe just maybe you'll catch me." she giggled turning away and heading for the watering hole once again. ******** When she got there she also noticed that her brother Pan was their drinking his fill. "Hey Pan I got jumped by Camalus again," Venus giggled leaning down to get a drink for the oasis. "Let me guess he was practicing hunting but he messed up yet again," snorted Pan in between gulps of water. "Yes, he yelled out just as he was about to tackle me, I swear he never learns." said Venus shaking her head. "I've been trying to teach him the same thing since he began trying to learn to hunt, he just doesn't get it. Maybe it would be best to send him to one of the warriors to let the teach him to fight instead." "That may be for the best, as he seems to resist all attempt you make at teaching him anything," sighed Pan, before perking his ears. "Someone is coming." he said before shrinking down into the long yellow grass that resided by the small pond making himself small as possible in case it was a enemy. The female fennec came out of the bushes, "Why are you hiding brother." she said in a mocking tone. "Arnt you a big bad hunter?" Pan stood up his fur bristling, "Milda why are you picking on me?" "I am simply because it's fun to bait you into a fight." snickered Milda before cracking up laughing. "I'm just joking you idiot." (I love this to funny for words XD) "Ok you two stop fighting," giggled Venus cracking a smile at her siblings actions. The two immediately sobered up at their sister's word only giggling every once in awhile. They knew that right now was not the time for them to be laughing and carrying on because in such a isolated area as the watering hole they where easy prey for any hawk that would be bold enough to go after three fennec foxes together. They almost couldn't believe they had almost foregotten the lessons they had learned while they were living alone. Other: Venus is the name of a goddess of love.
