The untamed lands are a harsh place to live. Here you will find some canines are not all they seem. Some canines are fun loving others not so much. Their are many diffrent species in the Canid world and these are only a few of them. All have a story you just need to listen hard to figure it out. But be careful as this land holds many traps for humans.

Relationships

Bisexual

She is bisexual but prefers females. She was moved more toward males before her Shaman day, however, because she fell in love with her now-deceased mate she prefers females. Now, she doesn't look too much for a mate, male or not, because she doesn't feel the need to as the pack and their pups are her family.

Mother

Name:Star Bringer
Breed: Red wolf /Timber Wolf
Age: Deceased
Theme: Our Farewell - Within Temptation

She had a really close relationship to her mother before she died, someone whom she still sort of remembers. Although her mother treated her pups all equally, Star had more of a bond with her mother than her father. It waw thought that this was because she was more like her mother than her father. She had always felt a special pull towards her mother, and maybe that is why her powers are so strong. Her mother is the very reason why she has the nickname Star. Her mother was called Star Bringer, and it is thought that she was the star that her mother brought.

Brothers/Sisters:

She had quite a few but not much is known about the bond of these siblings.

Pack Mates/Friends: Ara, Seran, Inari, Cupid, Zantos, Emilia, Celestial, Beauty, Lyrical

Breed

Red Spotted Timber Wolf

Position

Position: Shaman

Position Description:

A shaman is the only one who can really kill a cinn logg, but they are very very rare and not many are born. They are said to be born to help guide the souls to their final resting place with the help of the guardians, although, not many know how this practice is done. To be a shaman, you have to have a good heart and soul because if you do not, you may fall victim to evil spirits. Their jewelry signifies their rank, and is also thought to be the way they focus their power. This is not know as truth, however, and many think it as only speculation.

Unlike Guardians, shamans are much harder to kill. This was the gift they were given for taking on this task, but its not to be taken lightly. If they do try to abuse this power, it is taken away by Celestial, a fox said to guide their actions.

The Chant:

Shaman have a special chant that they use to kill the cinn logg and help lost souls gain eternal peace. They have to be careful when using the chant, however, because if their will is weak or they lose focus, they could lose their soul as well. This is a great risk to all because in most regions, Shaman are rare.

Translation to the chant:

Oh lost souls
from the realm
from beyond
return from where you have come
ease from the grip
of evil and find the pathway home

I will lead you
I will take you there
so please don't despair

The evil shall leave
and good shall shine through
if you do as I tell you to do

Now listen
and do as I say
find your heart inside
try to listen to it today
if you do you shall see
the place you are meant to be

Age: Ageless- Shamans live naturally long lives because of their jobs and the effort it takes to take one down. Their souls are weaker, however.
.
Appearance:

- Her fur is short in the summer to keep her from overheating, but long in the winter so she won't overheat. It is usually longer around the chest area, getting shorter as the body ends.

- Sleek and heavy built, she is built to be quite the fighter and runner. Her legs are long and lean able to carry her over miles of hunting ground- This is usefull to her because she is the pack leader she is in charge of hunts and patrols. Though, because she is heavy built she is not as agile as her wolf packmates.

Language: She does speak a little Irish but she can speak English

Mental Disposition

She has no underlying mental problems, although, some would suggest that having been so close to death, would surely have caused some to surface. No, she's perfectly sane and prefers it that way. However, sometimes she swears that she could hear a previous pack member talking to her. Although, she does view this as her subconscious reminding her what could happen if she ever failed in her job. She is very intelligent even though she does not see it herself.

Personality:

She spends a great deal of her time thinking she is not good enough to be a shaman. She has very little trust in herself and it shows in the way she carries herself. This is thought to stem from the loss of her pack; she was unable to save them and in the end, this what caused her to lose her self esteem. Although Star is slowly gaining it back, she still thinks back to the time she wasn't good enough to save the ones she loved.

She can be a real sweet heart despite her lack of self confidence, shown in the care she shows toward apprentices training to be guardians.

Star is one that you can become friends with, and despite some wolves' opinion, she is one of the friendliest members of the pack. This does not mean that she is a pushover. If you try to force her to do something, you will be met with tooth and nail. However, deep down she is a softy that is the perfect nanny for pups. She is fierily protective and it is safe to say that no harm will come to her charges.

She believes in the powers of the moon, and legends of old magic. Sometimes, she thinks she sees the fey, but she is not sure. Star does have some ties to the old magic through her family, but she does not understand how to use that magic, and cannot harness it.

Star dislikes humans and is glad her pack is not located on the edge of the untouched land, like most. She does not want to face one, and if one does wander into their pack-lands, which almost never happens, they quickly wander out again. She always tries to be her own person, however, and does not to be told of how she should be.

She has had a bit of difficulty learning her shaman powers, but it helps to have her sister Shaman, Beauty, to help her learn the skills she needed to know. Star greatly respects Beauty because of this and treats her as a mentor, and perhaps, even a mother. The pack is like the family she lost and she is glad to have them every day.

She does have a great sadness in her heart for the mate and pack she lost, but she tires not to dwell on this, lest her heart fall pray to that same sadness. It does lurk in the back of her mind though, and she prays never to lose another pack like that to death again. However, she does know that death is a part of everyday life, and without death their would be no life.

She and Seran, a fellow guardian, have a lot in common and sometimes it seems they could be twins because they believe some of the same things. However, because of Seran's guardian status, they couldn't be further apart. Seran loves to fight and Star does not. Star is a lot closer to the guardian, Emilia, and they are, in fact, great friends.

Deep inside, though, Star feels a great loneliness and longing that her pack cannot fill. This was left from her lost pack and never may be fully filled even though her pack will try their best to fill it. She also has a deep yearning to see her mother again, but she knows the one who gave birth to her is long dead and buried.

She is glad for the memories she has and would not trade them for the world, but she does like to make new memories with her pack, and that will most likely never change.

Star hopes that when she dies, her friends will have something to remember her by, and not just the bad things, but the good things too. She does not want to be forgotten, and strives to leave behind good memories for her friends. She knows life is too short to waste and you should use every moment.

Star is a free spirit, the kind that lives her life to the fullest and doesn't let anything stop her. She would give her life for her pack, or any, without a second given thought. She, however, doesn't like fights, and to start one is to set of events you won't like. She is helpful to everyone, even when they are at their worst. The only time anyone can anger her is if they injure one of her friends or family.

Her life has been harsh, but despite that she will try to help others and is optimistic about life. She knows some things may go wrong, but she will meet them when they do.

Dislikes:

Humans are the main thing that she dislikes, and she tends to try to stay away from them. Lucky for her, the pack is in the center of the untouched lands and not many human come there. If a human happens to wander in the territory, they are carefully watched. In these times, they never stay long.

Death is one thing she really hates because she lost her first mate and pack to death, and she almost met the same fate. If it wasn't for her goddess and friend, Celestial, she would have perished along with her pack, but she was very lucky. Now Star hates death, but can somewhat deal with it.

Cinn Logg are the biggest enemy of the Shaman and guardians. They are wolves whose soul have lost their paths, and essentially, they are dead. The bodies may be decomposing or just be bones, but they all have one thing in common: wherever they go, they leave death, fear, and destruction.

Going against fate is one of they things Star tries not to do. She believes that fate can't be avoided and if you try to, you may just hurt yourself trying. She always tells the others to embrace their fate, and knows her fate was to be a shaman, no mater how bad she is at it.

Rival packs are a big fear of hers, mostly cause her pack was annihilated by one. Since this incident with a rival pack, even lone wolves have scared her because she never knows if they might choose to attack and cause her to lose her new family. Her new pack knows of this fear and tries to reassure her that everything would be alright.

Killing is one of the things she hates to do, because she'll never take advantage of life again, but she knows she will have to in order to survive and to do her job. She doesn't like it, but she does it anyway.

Fighting is also one of her biggest fears, and if she doesn't have to, she won't. Her job, thankfully, is one that doesn't require a huge amount of fighting, so she fares rather well in that area.

Being ill mannered towards her is one of her biggest pet peeves and the most likely to tick her off. It's not suggested to do this because if she gets mad, she can hold a grudge for a very long time. Star feels the same way if others are rude or ill mannered toward one of her friends, and they can be sure she will defend them.

Likes:

The old magic is a big liking for her because she truly wants to understand it, yet, she cannot. She has the ability to control it if she could harness that power, yet that eludes her. Star can see the fey, however, and this brings her great joy and sometimes great sorrow as well.

The moon has always been a source of happiness for her, and often it has guided her in many of her endeavors. She calls it "shining draíochta", or shining magic, and in fact, believes this is where most magic comes from. However, she does know the gift she ha been given come from the great guardian Celestial.

Life is precious to her because she nearly lost hers while actually losing that of her pack and mate. Star feels everyday is a victory and though she does miss her pack, she hopes to live a good, long life so she can can be proud when she finally gets to the end of her life and meet her former pack in the beyond.

Love is very important to her because before her shaman days came, Star had a mate who she was very much in love with and who helped her get through the days no matter how long they may have seemed to be. She was incredibly happy because she was loved and felt needed. Her new pack's love is what sustains her now, and every day she is glad she has it. Star truly believes love can heal all wounds.

Hopes and dreams are one thing she relies on the most, although, they do not always come true for her. Star still believes if you dream or hope hard enough, eventually, it will come true. She finds great happiness in this and promises herself never to stop believing in these two things.

Rivers are her favorite water source and she often hangs around and washes them. She keeps her coat shiny this way, and prides on being this clean. However, she is not overly obsessed with cleanliness and can go days without taking a bath. However, if she let blood on her, she will rush off to the nearest river to take a bath.

Fate is a thing she greatly believes can never be changed, no mater how hard you try to. She believes if it is a person's fate to die, they will die no matter how much they try to avoid it. She tries to follow her fate wherever it leads her, and she promises always to continue on that path, no matter where it takes her.

Pups bring her great joy, but because of her position as shaman she can never have any. However, Star enjoys being around the other pack members' pups and training them how to take care of lost souls when they come of age. Currently, the only apprentice she is training is Lyrical, the daughter of Seran.

Magic is another thing she believes in. She knows there is old magic, ones even beyond what Celestial could give her. It was passed through her blood line, but she cannot harness that power and it is a great frustration to her. She can see the fey, however, and for that she is grateful, although she wishes that she could harness the old magic.

Celestial is the one that gifted Star with her powers, and every day, Star thanks her for it and the second she got in receiving the powers. Celestial is like a teacher to her, and it is from this that she learns how to teach her young apprentices. Celestial is the one that came up with the guardian oath and the chant Shamans use to send lost souls where they belong.

Her Pack is the most important thing in her life to her and she would lay down her life for her fellow wolves. She was happy to find them and will always remember how they saved her in her time of need. They didn't have to take her in, but they did out of the goodness of their heart and the fact they truly needed a shaman to help them. She will forever be in their debt because if they hadn't taken her in, she very well might of died again.

Fears:

Her greatest fear is loosing her new family to another rouge pack. Every day Star fears today might be her last day with them and this saddens her greatly. She hopes never to have to go through that pain again.

Histroy:

The night I was born was a cold one, and though my mother had chosen the warmest spot she could find, the cold wind still fled down to her. Everyone knows labor is not easy, but somehow she managed to have us all with no complications. Little did she know, my fate was going to be to most unusual of us all, and even back then I thought, 'I don't care what my fate is, I will embrace it with two eyes open.' Little did I know that fate had plans for me that was beyond my expectations.

As we grew up, we had a certain privileged life the other pups didn't. As the Alphas' pups, we were next to take the rank if our parents should pass away. Of course, like all pups we wished our parents would never die. I lacked the self confidence to see myself in that position. However, I had no choice in the matter. Before my siblings even turned two they were dead from illness and predators. I was the only one left who was qualified. Of course, my mother had had other litters, but before most of them reached maturity they seemed to wither and die.

I made friends in the pack easily. Though most thought I was unfriendly at first, they soon warmed up to me. My mom was at least glad of this, for when I became alpha female, I would need all my friends. I still didn't think I was eligible even though many of my friends greatly believed in me. As I grew, so did my love for the packs' pups. I hoped one day I would have some of my own, but you know what they say: you never know what will happen in the future.

I don't remember when I first started seeing the fey, but it was shortly after that that my mother was killed by a hunter. After that, I feared humans, but where we lived they were rare. We thought we had nothing to fear, and Da continued to run the pack despite the loss of his mate. I began seeing the fey more often and I asked Da about it. "It t'was a gift passed down through your lineage, my daughter." was all he would say.

Soon, I began exploring this power, but I became frustrated when I couldn't harness it. What use was my gift if I couldn't use it? I soon stopped trying to harness it; I was far from giving up, but I figured with time I would finally harness it. It was around this time that my father died, the grief ran deep for me. I had now lost both my parents, my brothers, and sisters, but I knew I wasn't alone. I still had my pack to take care of, and a mate possibly in my future.

Is féidir teacht go tapa nó duilleoga Love mhaith ar an titim, ag titim go mall ach ag déanamh a bhealach síos ar do chroí. Love Dar aon boundriesm aon spieces, aon aois. Ach sreabhadh do gach duine go cothrom.

Love can come swiftly or like leaves in the fall, falling slowly, but making its way down to your heart. Love sees no boundaries, not species nor age, but flows to everyone equally.

I ran with my pack, on the hunt for prey. I still couldn't believe that I was the leader. I definitely did not deserve the position, but I would wholeheartedly do my best to keep the pack alive, even if I had to give my life for theirs. Hopefully it would not come to that, but if it did I would do it in an instant. Little did I know what the future had in store for me, nor the heart ache that I would soon go through.

At this point though I did not care, my only focus was the hunt, and getting nutrition for my pack. We had scented deer ahead, and it was up to us to bring one down. The wind blew through my fur like a caress from a lover. I felt like pure power and I loved that. The pack moved in tandem each moving behind the other.

The pack was hungry; we had not had food in days, and the huger was what drived us now. We did not notice the scent of the unfamiliar wolf until he was among us. None of us had any will to fight him, so he was allowed to stay at least until we were fed. I did not feel confident that I could force him out, but I knew with a little doubt that my pack would stand beside me in my decision and they would be able to chase him off. For now though, I needed all the focus I could get. It was time to hunt and any mistake we made could be payed for in one of our deaths.

My dog blood, put me at a little bit of a disadvantage. I was still fast, but I was not as agile as my wolf pack mates were in a fight. That did not mean that I was useless, however, it just meant that I had to be more careful than my brothers and sisters. My wolf blood sang in anticipation of the kill and I reveled in its strength. That half of me, I knew at least, would never abandon me. The deer were ahead and we could smell them, our mouths watered at the thought of food and we anticipated striking our prey.

One mistake is all it takes for a hunt to go wrong, and one of our numbers, a young juvenile wolf still learning to hunt, made that mistake. Separating from the pack, he went after a buck that was healthy as one could get. It turned around and bared it horns at the young wolf ready to strike if he came any nearer. The rest of the herd ran while the buck stood its ground and fought. When the rest of the herd got away we had no choice, we'd have to take the buck or go hungry today.

"Belo, Sari, Menkune, take the back. If it rears up try to knock it's balance off by biting its legs and lower back. Sadu, Mera, Kadi, take the sides, but be careful of its hooves and horns. Try not to take a direct blow. The rest at the front with me, may this be a good hunt." I said before running in front of the stag. I was afraid of course, but I couldn't show that fear or my pack would be afraid too. I bared my teeth at the buck and ran towards it, when I did, the animal spooked and reared onto its hind legs. The pack was on it in a second, but instead of tumbling like I thought... it started walking forward on its hind legs. I growled warningly at my pack mate, if it came down on any of us, dog or not, our spines with shatter on impact.

I was a little less lucky, it was coming right at me and I had no time to dodge. The stranger intervened or I might have died then. Throwing himself at me he knocked me out off the way. The deers hooves came right down where my back was previously, causing it to stagger and when it did my pack was on it. It was over in a flash of teeth and claws and we at last had our prey.

'Loco?' I said a little louder then usual, he'd almost gotten his whole pack injured. He crawled on his belly towards me and my eyes softened, I just couldn't punish him that harshly. 'You will not eat until the rest of us are done.' I said hesitantly and his ears parked.

' Yesh Lady Star.' He said polighty before sitting well away from the kill. I then turned to look at the stranger. He was kind of plain, fully black with silver eyes. He was powerful in his own way but like me I could tell he was not full wolf. After he had saved my life I couldn't just drive him out, so I decided I would let him stay. If he tried anything later we could kick him out then.

'Hello stranger I am Rith, the alpha of this pack. May I please ask of you name?" I said polightly deeming it was probally best to be polight as he had just saved me life and I owed him that much. He looked at me, and for one long second it was like i could see into his soul.

'I am Ragnarock." He said in a deep soothing voice that I emideatly found my self accustomed to. It had a pitch the was just above the norm, but yet was beautiful, and I found myself entranced by it. I stared in his eyes, and saw a pounging there that matched my own. He to didn't belong but that wasn't stopping him.

"Well you proved you loyalty today, so you may stay if you would like. I said wagging my stump of a tail. I smiled reassuringly and he stoped being so tense, which called me down immensly. I couldn't tell what breed of dog he was mixed with but to me it didn't matter. He was kin to me and that was all that mattered.

After the pack had eaten its kill we showed our new pack mate around. He seemed in aw of Our land and I soon found myself smiling. He was like a child in a candy store, and my whole pack was amused by his antics. It soon became apperent after awhile off him being there that he likes we. I in particular liked both males and females, but despite that I had never been accustomed to ones attention on me. It was a bit unnerving.

Soon, though, I became accustomed to seeing him, and I wasnt so tense when I saw him. I was far from scared of him, I found myself atrracted to the dark and hansom wolf. An it appeared that he was also attracted to me. I wasn't ready to settle down quite yet though. I still had lots I wanted to do and a mate would hamper my ability to do those things. He understood that though and did not try and force me.

He was in the pact a year, before I finnally submitted to being his mate. The desicsion was hard for me to make but I knew it was the right one. I was almost sixteen, my pack needed a hier. So we mated, I was overjoyed when I found out I was pregnant, I'd always wanted pups. The jion soon turned to pain though. I lost my pups and little did I know this would be the last litter I'd ever have.

Bás amháin é an tosú ar eachtra i bhfad níos mó
Death is only the beginning of a much greater adventure

My Last Breath - Inspired by the Evanesence Song

The attack had been sudden and unexpected; our pack didn't have a chance to react, so we relied on instinct. It wasn't long before our ranks started falling. The other pack didn't care, they even went after pups. They had no mercy on us and soon only my love was left standing. His wounds were major and I knew that he and I didn't long for this world. He crawled over to me, and I saw in his eyes: he knew we were both dying.

He laid his head on my side, as my eyes started to drift closed. I forced them to reopen, I wasn't ready to go yet. I wanted more time with him before I died. I knew we would meet again, wherever we go after we died, but for now I wanted what time I had left with him. I knew if I feel asleep now, I wouldn't wake up, so I'd stay awake as long as I could.

I would miss the winter time spent traveling to find the herd of our favorite food, and spring when the pups came. The cute pups... they always looked so fragile when first born. I looked up into my mate's eyes. 'I love you,' I whispered, feeling his tear hitting my fur. I would miss him most of all.

I could feel death starting to take hold of me, and I struggled to fight it; I didn't want to die yet. If I did, he would have to die alone and that what made me despair the most. The thought of him dying alone with no one alive to be with him gave me the strength to fight death's grip. In time, I wondered if I hadn't, would things be different? No matter what happened, both of our present lives would end tonight.

His eyes closed one last time as he stopped breathing, his head was on my side, so I couldn't move in my current condition. 'So, this is the end of our pack,' I thought, 'Maybe one day we will all meet again.' With nothing else to hold me back, I slowly let my soul slip away.

'Goodbye,' I thought, 'Shall we meet again one day.'

My world then faded to black...

What Have You Done - Inspiration by the Within Temptation - What have you done (Lyrics)

I opened my eyes, I was in great pain, but I was alive unlike the rest of my pack. Closing my eyes, I relived the fact I couldn't save them. I wasn't strong enough, and I'd probably never be strong enough. My greatest sorrow was that I had lost my mate in the attack. I didn't want to believe he was gone, it was impossible, but the pack that had rescued him said they had buried him last week along with the rest of my pack.

Still, I didn't want to believe it, and I hoped soon I would be well enough to get up and check for myself. Until I did, I would not accept he was gone.

They said I was to be their shaman and I told them I simply wasn't good enough to be one. They had one already, they would survive without me. What little confidence I had built in becoming alpha had disappeared at the loss of my pack. I almost wished I had died with them, but fate had decided against that, and I wasn't going to go against fate.

Days passed and I looked for any sign my mate was really and truly dead. Soon, I was healed and able to get up. The first place I went was to the grave site. All the grave were there, as well as his. However, something looked different about his. The dirt looked freshly new. As I pondered on this, I heard a chilling howl. It was very mournful and made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

It was him!
He wasn't really dead!
There had been a mistake!

I ran to meet him, not realizing the danger I was walking into. Most would have said I was stupid for following that howl, but I just loved him that much. What I ran into was not my mate. It looked brutally mauled and was decomposing. You could see the skeleton peaking through the rough, scarred fur. It stank like something that had crawled out of the marsh, but it clearly used to be my mate.

Tears welled in my eyes, was this what fate had decided? Was my love to remain like this forever? Then, I heard a voice in my head. 'Only you can save him, sing the song of souls. Save his spirit. Learn to let go.' Then the voice faded, and I wondered what she meant about song of souls. I didn't have time to ponder as he leaped at me.

I reacted instinctively and said deep and clear:

Oh anamacha Chaill

As I finished he collapsed his soul released. I later learned I had been lucky, if I had not concentrated, I to would be dead, my soul sucked out. For that I was grateful. That week I began shaman training, now certain that fate would not let me take a different route. I didn't think I'd make a good shaman, but who was I to fight fate?

Beyond the boundaries of your city's lights,
Stand the heroes waiting for your cries.
So many times you did not bring this on yourself,
When that moment finally comes,
I'll be there to help.

My paw thudded the ground as I ran towards the fight I could hear ahead, I only hoped that none of my pack members hadn't been killed by the Cinn Logg. I wouldn't know until I got there though, so I quickened my pace. I came to the edge of the fray and saw, to my relief, that no one had been killed. There had been some injuries, however. Inari was slightly away, on her side, trying hard not to move 'lest she open her wounds wider. Seran was standing in front of her, protecting her from the Cinn Logg trying to get to her. Emilia and Ara stood back to back, defending each other and fighting off the Cinn Logg together. I did not see Cupid, but some part of me knew he was around here somewhere.

I took my place off to the side, preparing to use the power Celestial had gifted all shaman with, the power to defeat these lost souls and send them where they belonged. As usual, I began my chant loud and clear:

Oh anamacha Chaill
as an réimse
ó thar
ar ais ó áit a bhfuil tú ag teacht
gan stró as an grip
d'olc agus ateacht ar ar an bhaile cosán

Beidh mé luaidhe tú
Beidh mé in ann tú ann
Dá bhrí sin ná éadóchas

Déanfaidh an olc saoire
agus dea-Shine trí
má dhéanann tú mar a deirim libh a dhéanamh

All the Cinn Logg turned to look at me, hatred burning in their eyes. This was the most dangerous part of my position, and I only hoped each time I did it, it wouldn't cause my death. While saying this chant, I had to stay completely still or it was possible my own soul could be sucked into wherever the souls go where I released them too.

Anois éist
agus a dhéanamh mar a rá liom
teacht ar do chroí istigh
iarracht chun éisteacht le lá atá inniu ann
má dhéanann tú beidh tú a fheiceáil
an áit a bhfuil tú i gceist a bheith

As I finished the chant, the Cinn Logg present collapsed, their souls finally at peace. They could move to the other side. The jewelry that I wore stopped glowing and I sat down exhausted. Channeling that much energy was hard on the body, but one got used to it when they were in my profession, not that I had heard of many shamans. For some great reason Shamans where rare, and sometimes soul Guardians never came across one.

My pack was lucky, they'd finally found me.
